September – the time of year that the academic and fashion worlds both view as new beginnings- ushering in the new school year and new season collections. Ultimately, it is a time for transition, for reinvention. We clear out or pack away our swimwear and sandals and move towards sweaters and thicker socks. Summer’s long, sunny evenings start to cool & we realise it’s getting dark at 8pm (welp).
I’m taking every opportunity to enjoy the last of the Summer Sun, and yesterday was no exception. I flung on this H&M body suit with a plunging back & a pair of men’s Acne drawstring trousers for an easy, chic all-black look. My Cult Gaia Ark bag still in town holding my essentials & khaki Balenciaga racerunners on my feet – they didn’t make the shot annoyingly! I spent the day roaming around Crystal Palace in South London, enjoying furniture shops & places to sip a dark & stormy.
I’ve been kinda relying heavily on menswear and simple silhouettes to get me through the Summer months, it’s a simple way to look “put together” in any occassion. This formula seems to be working for me and for Autumn I won’t be changing it – I’ll probably just add some warmer jackets and weather-appropriate footwear! Xx
